Mathematics Tutoring Online respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

Information we collect

We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, the student’s school year or current working grade, and any information you include in an enquiry. We may also receive information you submit through Facebook or Meta lead forms and messages. Our website may automatically receive basic technical information such as your browser type, IP address and cookie information.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to enquiries, arrange a free trial or assessment, provide and manage tutoring services and bookings, communicate with you about our services, maintain and improve our website, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

Our lawful basis

Depending on the circumstances, we process information with your consent, to take steps at your request before entering into or performing a contract, for our legitimate interests in operating and improving our tutoring service, or to comply with a legal obligation.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only with service providers needed to operate the tutoring service, such as website hosting, communications, booking, video lesson, payment and Meta/Facebook services, or where required by law. Some providers may process data outside the UK and, where this happens, appropriate safeguards should apply.

Children’s information

Enquiries about a child should be made by, or with the knowledge of, a parent or guardian. Please do not provide unnecessary sensitive information about a child.

Data security and retention

We take reasonable administrative and technical steps to keep personal information secure. No internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above or to meet legal requirements.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, object to certain processing, and request data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
